I’ve tried all kinds of subscriptions, so when I heard of a wine subscription it sounded like a no-brainer! We all know I love a good glass of wine. The first month was under $40 for 6 bottles of wine delivered to your front door…so do the math…it was a steal! The first box I received was a specialty box consisting of six South African wines. I’d never had South African wine before and to be honest, my expectations were very, very low. That just made it even sweeter though when the wines ended up being amazing! (Aside from the rosé, which wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t anything special, the other five wines were really nice wines. This isn’t just my opinion though, my dad, a chef, sampled all the wines and loved them too).
The first month, if you use this code, you’ll get six bottles of wine delivered to you (you’ll need to have them delivered somewhere where an over 21-year-old can sign for the package upon arrival). After that the subscription will cost $80/box, and I believe they deliver the box every month. So $80/month. That’s still a great deal for six bottles of wine, I typically buy the cheapest wine a wine store has and that’s $12-15, so the subscription bottles coming in at $13/bottle seems really fair. Plus you save the time of having to go to the store yourself, yay!
Yeah! Obviously this is a bit more difficult than just a yes or no answer, and I can’t promise the wines will be as good as I’ve had in the box you receive. Plus, everyone has different preferences when it comes to wine, and if you’re very selective about what kinds of wine you drink then maybe a subscription isn’t the best idea for you, unless you’re looking to adventure into new territory! If you’re always up for something different, or if you never have time to go to the store to buy wine, then I think you’ll really enjoy the wines and the experience. I personally love opening up each bottle with as much of an open mind as possible and each time I’ve been delighted by the glass I’ve poured!
Having a Wine Awesomeness Membership doesn’t have any additional fees associated with it. It’s basically the same thing as saying you’ve signed up for the subscription. You can cancel at any time or you can pause/delay your next box. There are two different membership options: 3 pack membership ($45) or 6 pack membership ($75). A huge perk to the Wine Awesomeness program is that they’re sending you bottles of wine that retail anywhere from $17-$22, but you’re only paying $12.50-$15/bottle depending on which membership option you choose. Shipping is free if you’re part of either membership option, which is another added bonus!
Without a doubt I’m glad that I tried Wine Awesomeness’s membership program. It’s definitely my favorite subscription that I’ve tried so far, and the one that makes the most sense! Next up, I’m planning on trying a meal prep delivery system, either Blue Apron or Hello Fresh…have you tried either in the past/have any preferences? I’d love to know! Thanks!
P.S. I was not compensated in any way for this review, just wanted to share a great subscription service with you guys (and a great straw bag and travel wine glass!).
