Who else is SO excited for the Olympic Games this summer!? To get in the Olympic spirit, Emma and I decided to throw our own summer beach games complete with competition, snacks, and more! We grabbed everything we needed for our summer beach games from our local Christmas Tree Shops in Danbury, CT. It’s no secret that Christmas Tree Shops is one of my favorite destinations for seasonal finds, home decor, party essentials, and everything in between. Emma and I were so happy to have found everything we needed for our summer beach games at one destination and at such an affordable price!

Looking for a unique get-together idea this summer for friends/family? I 100% recommend hosting a casual summer beach games! Emma and I had SO much fun competing in our bean-bag toss game and scoop ball! (We purchased both games from CTS for under $20 total!) Emma won scoop ball by a landslide, but as for bean-bag toss, I think we tied! 

To compliment the competition, we also set up a sports-inspired picnic complete with baseball cheese puffs, chips, and sparkling lemonade! Pro Tip: carry in your food & games in wooden crates, empty the crates at your spot on the beach, then flip over your crates and cover with a tablecloth before setting out your food. It’s such an easy way to elevate your tablescape (literally & figuratively!!). 

The wooden crates were $15 each and I plan to re-purpose them in my home as storage containers for Ranger’s toys. Side note, I was SO excited to find plenty of beach chairs at CTS since I misplaced my last ones (bummer!) these chairs are lightweight, cute, only $25 each! 

For our summer game snacks we grabbed a variety of chips, some old fashion candies, and sparkling lemonade (which was delicious!). All of our snacks combined came to less than $15. Sweet, right?!
