Happy Monday, friends! I hope you all had a great weekend! I had a busy one (which wasn’t exactly what I was looking for, but oh well!). In exciting news, we’re refinishing the hardwood floors this week in our new place!! I can’t wait to see how they turn out. I have to say, I’m pretty good at managing stress, but this whole moving thing has got me really stressed out! One of my favorite (and budget-friendly) ways to de-stress is by doing an at-home steam facial. Today I’m sharing two of my favorite ways to do a steam facial at home!
There are so many!! I’m just going to list a few: cleansing, pore-opening (this is especially good if you have acne-prone skin), promotes circulation, collagen stimulating, soothing, and it’s great for opening up your sinuses/ for congestion. By adding green tea bags (or the KLEI facial steam detox blend) you enhance the benefits of a facial steam. For instance, green tea inhibits the enzymes that break down collagen (translation: it’s good for your skin!).
At-home steam facials are so easy to do! If you’re looking to try one right this second and have green tea bags in your kitchen, then you’re in luck, you’ve got all you need! A steam facial only requires a handful of items:
All you have to do is boil some water, pour it into a heat-proof bowl, and then add 2-3 teabags (or a capful of the KLEI detox blend). You’ll want to set this up at your kitchen table so you can be seated and leaning over the bowl. Cover your head and the bowl completely with a bath towel to avoid the steam from coming out. (I only half covered my head in the photo above because the photos of me completely covered looked weird!) And that’s it! Just hang out like that for 10-15 minutes and relax!
If you want to elevate your at-home facial game, then you’re going to want to test out this KLEI detox facial steam blend. It’s made from natural, plant-based ingredients. This product is sold out almost everywhere online, but I was able to find it in stock here! Yippie!! I have to give a huge shoutout to my friend Fran who gifted me this KLEI facial steam and jade roller for Christmas! I absolutely love both of these products.
The KLEI facial steam is going to cost a bit more than a box of green tea bags, but if you’re looking to be a little more “chic” then it’s definitely worth it! I love the scent of this plant-based detox blend, and I find it to be much more relaxing than just using a couple of green tea bags.
Have you ever tried an at-home steam facial? If so, I’d love to hear about your experience and your favorite products to use with it!
