It’s Monday!! As I’m writing this (Sunday night), I’m realllyyyy hoping that I’m not waking up to snow tomorrow morning, but at this point who knows with our crazy CT weather!? I’m dying to share more spring inspired outfits with you guys, but it’s just so darn cold out, making my motivation to shoot those outfits right around zero. Anyway, I’m sharing a great transition outfit today AND my favorite bakery in Greenwich, CT. Spoiler alert, it’s 100% dairy-free and gluten-free also!
This feather vest is one of my favorite pieces in my wardrobe currently, so you can bet I’m going to wear it for as long as I possibly can. Is July too late? Kidding! A great way to extend the wear of this vest is by pairing it with a lighter sweater, like the J.Crew one I’ve got on here. I especially love the girly, bell-sleeve detailing on this sweater and kind of think it works perfectly with the bold vest.
Let me just take a second to say, this small Longchamp tote that I bought for my mom (in Paris!!) is the perfect bag. It’s a great size to stuff whatever you need, and then some, but it’s also small enough to still look super cute. I personally love the shorter handle because I think it adds a playful edge to this bag, but I also own it in the medium size tote, which has plenty of benefits as well. Anyway, just wanted to take a second to share how much I’ve been loving this bag lately. Thanks Mom for sharing it with me!
So now on to the good stuff….the baked goods! I stumbled upon By The Way Bakery a few weeks ago and am now obsessed! First off, their products are all dairy and gluten free, which is a huge plus for me! If you’ve been following for any amount of time then you probably know I’m dairy free and sometimes dabble with cutting gluten out of my diet. Although, I’m very lucky that I’m not allergic to gluten, and would never pretend to be! Dairy on the other hand…I’m not allergic to it, but when I eat dairy my acne gets so bad, so it definitely has negative side affects to my health.
I’ve so far had the brownie and chocolate cupcake, and have been extremely impressed by both of these By The Way Bakery treats. I’ve heard great things about the madeleines and the brioche, so if your’e less of a chocolate lover maybe try those! Another great thing about this bakery is that they offer custom cakes and ready-made cakes in their shop (which look delicious and I can’t wait for an excuse to buy one!).
Do you have favorite go-to bakery? Or have you been to a By The Way Bakery? I’d love to know! Outfit details below…
sweater: J.Crew (similar here) • vest: Club Monaco • jeans: Ruby & Jenna (similar here) • bag: Longchamp • sunglasses: RayBan
Does this cake look yummy or does it look yummy?!
For the record, this coffee cup was 100% a prop (it was completely empty), on the other hand, this cupcake was 100% NOT a prop! I ate the whole thing for lunch when I got home.
