T-shirt dresses are one of my favorite pieces to wear all summer long. They’re easy to throw on, comfortable, cute, and can be styled SO many ways! As someone who is working at my desk one minute and then off adventuring around New England the next, this Riviera Dress from Joules is the perfect piece to keep up with my active lifestyle. Keep reading for 3 ways to style the Joules Riviera Dress this summer + a giveaway with Joules USA! While recently on vacation up in Boothbay Harbor, Maine, I had the chance to enjoy some time on one of the hammocks overlooking the water. What a relaxing way to spend the afternoon with a glass of wine in hand! Pictured here you’ll see that I slipped on a pair of these white canvas sneakers with jute detailing along with a knit sweater thrown over my shoulders. This is one of my go-to looks when the weather is iffy. These comfortable sneakers were perfect for exploring the property after I was done soaking in the water views/my hammock time. The sweater was at the ready in case the temperature dropped unexpectedly (which apparently happens a lot in Maine!).
Pro Tip: I feel like the sweater draped over your shoulders is always an easy way to elevate any t-shirt dress. Just swap out the sneakers for a pair of these espadrille wedges and you’re all set for a nice dinner out!
Where I’d wear this look: In addition to lounging on a hammock in Boothbay Harbor, Maine (super specific, I know!), I would wear this outfit out running errands, working from home, or going to the park with Ranger! The options are truly endless!
While it might be too hot to bring a jean jacket some places during the summer months, Maine is certainly the ideal place to pack one! I’m so glad I did because it came in handy earlier in the morning as I was taking Ranger for a walk. I paired these Keighley Cross Strap Espadrille Sandals and my favorite jean jacket with the Riviera Dress, and was ready to go! Also, here is the link to this awesome cross-body, which is perfect for all your summer adventures & active lifestyle!
Pro Tip: These sandals run a little large, I’d suggest sizing down one size for the perfect fit.
Where I’d wear this look: Similar to the ideas above, this outfit would be perfect for exploring a new town, road tripping in style, running to the grocery store, and that’s just what comes to mind!
Another go-to way to style t-shirt dresses is “belting” the dress by tying a sweater around your waist. There are a few reasons I love doing this… A) I’m ALWAYS cold so having a sweater at the ready is a must in my book. B) “Belting” the dress gives it shape & looks flattering. C) By “belting” the dress you’re able to make adjust the length. I love how soft this dress is and it’s such a high quality piece (like all of Joules pieces are, at least in my experience!).
This Riviera Dress is a bit longer than my usual t-shirt dress, but I was able to make it the perfect length by tying a sweater around my waist. Yay! I wore this look to the dock the other day and styled the Riviera Dress as a cover-up. Again, it’s so easy to toss on and take off that it’s really a no brainer to wear over a swimsuit!
