Now let’s get down to it. I’m a grade A skeptic when it comes to anything skincare. And while I can easily spend a not-so-small fortune in Sephora (I swear, they put something in the air!), I’m usually reluctant to try anything new skincare related. I mean, I’ve tried sooo many things over the years to have better skin and get rid of my acne and ugh, nothing has really worked!

Fast forward to a year or so ago, I started seeing this brand called “Beauty Counter” all over Instagram. I even heard my friends talking about it in real life! It. was. everywhere. When I actually looked into the brand and started learning about Beauty Counter it seemed like one of those silly companies that just has countless women trying to sell it, and that made me even more skeptical! That is, until I came across one of my favorite bloggers, Jenna Colgrove of the blog: Visions of Vouge. I love following along with Jenna, she is awesome! She also has an intense love for Beauty Counter. I figured Jenna couldn’t be steering me wrong, which is why I finally what pushed me to trying a few products.

I started off with two things: the Charcoal Cleansing Bar and Nourishing Day Cream (which my mom quickly stole!). I love the charcoal bar, it’s a great cleanser and is going to last me such a long time! I’ve had it for a couple months now and it will easily last me a couple more. I’ve tried several charcoal bars before, but this one is definitely superior to them. Don’t ask me how, but maybe it’s because Beauty Counter products are super clean and don’t have any harsh ingredients or chemicals? I dunno! They work!

I liked the moisturizer, but my mom LOVED it, so I gave it to her. She says that this is the only moisturizer that won’t make her break out with little white heads. That’s pretty cool, right?! So you can say she’s hooked too!

I recently bought the Charcoal Mask (known as the No.3 Balancing Facial Mask) and the Rejuvenating Toner Pads, both of which came highly rated by many bloggers! I love these toner pads and can’t actually believe I’m saying this now. I mean, I thought toner was toner. Toner is kind of boring as it is… right? Wrong! These toner pads are epic! I woke up the morning after using them for the first time, looked in the mirror and was pleasantly surprised (actually, it was more like pure shock) to see how nice my skin looked. It didn’t really sink in at first, but then I realized that I had changed something up with my skincare routine the night before, and the only thing I’d changed was the toner! I’m not sure how, but these toner pads really even out your complexion and make your skin glow, soft, and smooth!

Being hooked on Beauty Counter isn’t because I fell into the peer pressure of plenty of other bloggers using it and it isn’t because I’m selling it (because I don’t sell it!), it’s because this stuff actually works. There. I said it! I’m no longer a skeptic when it comes to finding products that redefine what it means to cleanse your skin. Beauty Counter is actually awesome and as a completely unbiased party I wanted to share that with ya! So try it, don’t try it, whatever! But you probably should try it, because you’ll be really happy with the results!
