Hi friends! Sorry for being MIA for the past few days. I’ve been sick for gosh, almost two weeks now! Which stinks! Honestly, I feel like a huge reason for my cold sticking around for so long is because I’ve been trying to push through it rather than rest and recover. Isn’t that the new norm in society? If you’re not monumentally busy then you’re doing something wrong. Ugh!! Anyway, that whole perpetually busy thing is so overrated! Am I right?
These next few months are filled with lots of travel for me. I think I might be traveling more often than staying home. And yeah, I’m kind of excited about it! I talked about my love for traveling a little bit in last week’s news letter. Speaking of which, are you signed up for my newsletter yet?! A box should pop up a few seconds after visiting my homepage, so just make sure you fill it out!
Back on topic…I’m sharing a few of my favorite travel essentials today, and explaining why they’re worth the splurge. I’ll preface this by sharing that back in college I bought my carry-on luggage exclusively from Walmart. Walmart is great because it’s super cheap, but I can’t tell you how many times the luggage would break while I was en route. Not fun! I mean, you just try navigating an airport with one wheel off your luggage, or a broken handle. And to add to an already stressful situation, imagine now trying to do that when you only have 10 minutes to make your connecting flight! Alright I think I’ve proved my point, I have enough bad experiences under my belt to understand the importance of investing in quality pieces that will always preform and never fail. Also, they’re pretty stylish, so that’s a plus too!
I know what you’re thinking…yes Away Luggage is a bit on the pricer side, but it is worth it!! Their luggage is really well made and I love the design. The inside of the luggage is also really well thought out and helps to compress your belongings so you can bring even more with you on your trips! Yippie!
Even beyond the look of this luggage, the company stands behind its products, which is so important (IMO). If something happens to your luggage that shouldn’t (like the handle brakes or a wheel falls off), then Away will replace or repair your luggage. How amazing?! I’ve had my luggage for over a year now and it’s still good as new! I got it in the white, and it’s so easy to keep clean by using a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser.
Nothing new here! I’ve raved about MZ Wallace on the blog plenty of times. I originally bought their metro backpack, which I highly recommend. It’s great for commuting into the city and for traveling! Then a few months ago MZ Wallace reached out to me and they wanted to send me another one of their products! How cool?! I chose their Sable Metallic Medium Metro Tote and it’s amazing! It’s the best travel companion I can ask for. I always joke around and say, it fits everything and the kitchen skin, and it’s basically true!
Somethings to highlight about this bag: it’s really lightweight, but also really durable. You can easily wipe it clean if it gets dirty, but rumor also has it that you can throw it in the wash and it’s fine! It’s athletic enough in style to accompany you to the gym, but also chic enough to not clash with your office outfit! Basically it’s going to work with whatever you wear!!
