It’s FriYAY! And oh do I have a great post for you today, okay well, maybe I’m a little biased! I’ve been on the hunt for dresses for my aunt (hi Aunt Laura) to wear to my cousin Adrianna’s high school graduation. Are ya following me here? And while my aunt shot down this dress, I KNOW it is the perfect dress for any and every occasion you have coming up this summer. But if you disagree, I’d love to challenge you to find a better, more versatile, and yet still super comfy dress!

For those of you who are new around here, I’ll let you in on a not-so-secret, Club Monaco is one of my favorite brands! I know their price point is a bit higher than what some people might want to spend, but it’s definitely worth the splurge! Here’s an insider tip though- Club Monaco has sales so frequently, especially throughout the summer, so if you find something you love, but don’t want to spend that much, just stay on top of it and within a week or two I bet it’ll be on sale! IN FACT- Club Monaco is having a sale right now! Up to 30% off!! 

Now back to this dress and why I think it’s so perfect… for starters, the color and fabric combo of this dress makes it an instant wardrobe staple. This kind of dress is the one you’ll wear not once, not twice, but over and over again! The cut of the dress is flattering on basically every body type, and the classic a-line, wrap-dress style is mature enough for moms, but also flirty enough for someone in their 20-30’s to pull off! So in other words, if you invest in the dress in your 20’s it’s going to be something you’ll be able to use time and time again even as you get older!

As I was saying earlier, I originally picked out this dress with my cousin’s graduation in mind. Graduations are always unpredictable, you never know if the weather will cooperate. Why is it that you’re always either super hot at graduations, or you’re freezing your butt off? The material of this dress isn’t going to stick to you if you get a little sweaty and the way the dress hangs on your body makes it super easy to pair with a variety of sweaters (in case you’re always cold like me!).

Okay, I know what you’re thinking, this dress cuts a bit low. I typically wouldn’t go for something this low, BUT you can kind of adjust how deep the V-neck of this dress is by how tight you tie the dress (since it’s a wrap style), but also you can adjust it once it’s tied to either be a bit more conservative or a bit less conservative. Up to you! A v-neck is always very flattering and I think it elevates this dress to be perfect for even a black-tie event, if you’re lucky enough to have one of those on your plate this summer!

But just in case I haven’t sold you yet on this dress, here are a variety of other occasions this dress would be perfect for:

bridal shower • baby shower • going out any night of the week • wear to work (maybe with a t-shirt under it?, you know I love that layered look!) • first-date • fifteenth date (ha, or any date!) • classy picnic/bbq • to the country club • formal brunch with the girls • dinner with the parents • on vacation • taking your yacht out (not my life, but maybe it’s yours!) • dressed down with sneakers to wear anywhere! • rehearsal dinner • forth of July! • to church (with a sweater?) • all those summer weddings you’re getting invited to (jealous!) • any other ideas?
