New town, new home, same traditions…well, kind of! I’m so excited to be partnering with Christmas Tree Shops today to share a little bit about one of my favorite Christmas traditions…decorating my Christmas Tree!! Growing up my mom, dad, sister and I would always cut down our Christmas Tree (ourselves!), bring it home, and have a decorating party featuring our favorite appetizers and holiday music. With each ornament we hung on the tree, we would reminisce on the story behind the keepsake. While decorating my Christmas tree looks different than it did back when I was growing up, I’ve definitely taken the spirit of this tradition with me into my new home. 

Unlike my childhood Christmas Tree, decorated with keepsake ornaments we collected over the years, I’ve discovered my love for styling Christmas Trees with a specific theme. Past years have consisted of rose gold glam and rustic gingham themes. Last week after picking up my new decor from Christmas Tree Shops, I set up the smaller of my 2 Christmas Trees upstairs. It looks so good and makes my heart happy every time I walk by it! As my childhood tradition has evolved, instead of decorating my tree with my parents, I now invite them over for a post-decorating party to enjoy the beautiful tree along with our favorite appetizers and festive cocktails, followed by hot cocoa!
