For those who have been following along with Style Inherited for a while, you know I’m a huge fan of the brand Barrington Gifts! Their bags come in a variety of shapes & sizes, are extremely well made, and are completely customizable! I’ve accumulated quite the collection of Barrington totes over the past year or two and honestly, I use at least one of them every time I leave the house! Today I’m reviewing my oversized monogrammed travel tote by Barrington Gifts, keep scrolling to learn more!

The St. Charles Yacht Tote

This fall Barrington Gifts sent me their largest tote bag, the St. Charles Zippered Yacht Tote. It’s HUGE and I love how I can fit everything I need in this one bag. This tote isn’t just perfect for my fall road trips (more on my trips to Upstate NY & Martha’s Vineyard here), but it’ll also be the first one I reach for this summer as I head to the beach!

Now let’s talk about the design process, which I always have so much fun with! (Let’s not talk about how long I spend crafting countless variations with different patterns, color ways, etc…)

With the St. Charles Yacht Tote (which comes in 2 versions: with zipper or without), you can opt for designing the bag with a patch or with a stripe. I’ve always gone with the stripe option, so next time I’ll have to mix things up and do a patch!

Personalizing My
Monogrammed Tote

Now it’s time to get creative! There are so many ways you can design your Barrington tote to reflect your personality. That’s another reason why these bags make such great gifts, because of how personalized you can make them.

I designed my St. Charles Zippered Yacht Tote for the fall, with their Russel Plaid pattern and an oversized two-tone neutral monogram. The final step in the design process is choosing which shade of leather you’d like for the handles. (I usually go with the classic dark brown leather.)

What’s one thing you always throw in your travel bag?
