After a very full summer, Emma and I were in serious need of some sort of staycation or rather, spa-cation to relax, which we’re sure you can relate to!! Life just gets so busy sometimes without us even trying! And fortunately, Mirbeau Inn and Spa Rhinebeck is right around the corner from Westchester County & Fairfield County, which made for a super easy & quick trip that was just. what. we. needed. Keep scrolling for our Mirbeau Inn & Spa Rhinebeck, NY Spa-Cation Recap!
Side note: if you’re in the market for new luggage, check out my blog post HERE where I share my honest review on both the AWAY carry-on and the Paravel carry-on.
Just an hour and a half or so outside of Fairfield/Westchester County, along the Hudson River, lies the heavenly oasis that is Mirbeau Inn and Spa Rhinebeck. So just last week we hopped in the car and set out on the spa-cation of our dreams! From the moment we pulled into Mirbeau, it was a spa-like experience in every way. We were greeted so kindly by TJ at the front desk and got settled into our room quickly with the help of all the exceptional Mirbeau staff.
The rest of the day, our itinerary was simple and serene. We lounged in our fire-lit room with the windows open to the beautiful forest view. We then explored the hotel for a bit and enjoyed *quite possibly* the best cocktails we’ve ever had: The Mirbeau Lavender and The Spa Treatment. Viktor was an amazing bartender and was both helpful and engaging. We then sipped on our drinks back in our spacious room as we got ready for dinner at The Willow.
It is hard to even sum up our experience at The Willow, because it was all just so good! The food was amazing and our waitress Samantha really went above and beyond to give us the best, most personalized experience. A few menu items to highlight are the burger (rated one of the best–if not the best–in the Hudson Valley), the tuna tartare, and of course, their vegan ice cream. We finished the evening appropriately with a book by our room’s fireplace and soaking in the amazing clawfoot tub.
After the amazing dinner and desserts from the night before, it felt right the next morning to get moving a bit, so we started off bright and early for some pilates with Danielle – it was honestly so good for our minds and bodies and such a great amenity that Mirbeau offers! And we followed it up by another dining experience at The Willow. Again, we had amazing service and the most photo-worthy breakfast. We couldn’t have asked for a better start to our morning!
This was one of those mornings that you didn’t want to end. Between our pilates class, the truest breakfast of champs, and then time spent on the aqua terrance, it all went by too fast! So when it came time for our signature massages, we couldn’t believe it was already 11:00am!! A unique feature that Mirbeau offers is a relaxation room that is true to its name, pure relaxation. The lighting are dim, a fire crackles in the beautiful fireplace, a fountain in the center of the room adds serenity, and chaises line the perimeter of the room for guests to unplug and just be. Pictures wouldn’t do the space justice, so you’ll just have to take our word for it!
Both of our massages were 10/10 and we were allowed to custom select our aroma preference. We both felt so refreshed and rejuvenated afterwards! And to no one’s surprise, we found our way back out to the Aqua Terrace where we sat in the sun and sipped on cocktails from bar at the Aqua Terrace (a skinny marg for E and an Aperol spritz for H).
By the time we finished our cocktails it was just about time to head back up to our room, pack, and check out. Our overnight at Mirbeau Rhinebeck was truly such a satisfying spa-cation. It could have ended there because this hotel is really all you need! — but nope, leave it up to the two of us to find the best local spots and explore this quaint little town. We even discovered that Rhinebeck is featured in multiple Hallmark Movies, and that just makes sense once you’ve experienced Rhinebeck!
Here are a few of our favorite local spots: Samuel’s Sweet Shop, Oblong Books, Paper Trail, Bread Alone, with lavender matcha, cds for the car ride, happy little postcards, and freshly baked bread to send home!
We really cannot recommend Our Mirbeau Inn & Spa Rhinebeck, NY Spa-cation Recap enough. If you’re needing a stellar spa experience, quick getaway, or a fun new town look no further! And stay tuned for our next great adventure, which will most likely be taking place below the Mason-Dixon Line!!
A HUGE thank you to Mirbeau Inn & Spa in Rhinebeck, NY for hosting us! As always, all opinions are our own!
