New Year, New Freebird Boots
Story time! Back when I was in high school my mom, sister, and I started this tradition of kicking the New Year off on the right foot with a new pair of shoes! Genius, right?! While my mom and sister might not have kept up with this tradition ever year, I am proud to say I haven’t missed a year yet! Me, pass up an excuse for a new pair of shoes? Never!

Anywayyy, when I was in Boulder, CO for Thanksgiving I was told I had to stop in this store called FREEBIRD. FREEBIRD (come to find out is a sister store to Steve Madden) is located right in the heart of the Pearl Street Mall. I’d probably walked past it countless times without even knowing it was there! This might sound silly, but when I started looking inside FREEBIRD and admiring all of their unique boot styles, I felt something I hadn’t felt in a while: inspired. As a blogger it’s no secret that I do a lot of shopping. I know I’ve talked about this on the blog before, but sometimes all that shopping gets me into little funks where I find myself wondering, when was the last time I bought something that really made me feel something? Regardless of the answer, I realized that walking into FREEBIRD had snapped me out of my funk!
What I love most about FREEBIRD is how refreshing their boots are. I wish I could have taken home ever pair in the store because they are so fun and so different. Each pair of boots has its own personality! While I didn’t get to leave with every single pair, I left with one pair to start my 2019 off on the right foot: the Candice. It doesn’t look like they carry the exact color I have online (although you can probably call a store and have them ship to you!), but I think the “Stone” color is a great alternative!
If you’re set on the white/cream color (like I was) then check out the runner-up pairs that I wish could have come home with me too (called “Truth” and “Whiskey“).
