Fall 2020 might look a little different than previous years, but I’m determined to make this fall season one of my best yet! One of the great things about autumn in New England is that there are so many fun outdoor activities that are socially distant & safe! Keep scrolling for my New England Fall Bucket List and to see what I’m looking forward to this fall season! At the end of this post, I’ve included a FREE printable New England Fall Bucket List for you to follow along with the fun!
Paint blue & white gingham pumpkins! // Anyone can carve a pumpkin, and I most certainly plan to, but this year I also want to try my hand at painting some pumpkins too! Check out my painted pumpkin inspo here!
Keep a fall foliage journal // This year I’ve decided to start a fall foliage journal!! My goal is to write in it daily and track the leaves changing. How cool will it be to look back in 5 years and see any similarities or differences between each season?! This Sara Fitz journal seems like the perfect one for the job!
Explore a new town in Vermont // Spoiler alert, next week I have a fun girls’ trip planned up to VT and I’ll be able to check this one off my list! For the past several years I’ve always visited Woodstock & Manchester, but this year I’m determined to discover some new places in this stunning state!
Go apple picking at a new orchard! // Any recommendations? I love Silverman’s Farm in Easton, CT (which is right down the road from where I grew up!). Since this farm holds such a special place in my heart I haven’t really ever ventured other places in CT. Please let me know your favorite spots for apple picking, I’d love to check them out!
Discover new sustainable clothing brands! // One of my goals for Fall 2020 is to shop at least 80% sustainably when it comes to adding new pieces to my fall wardrobe. So far I’m doing a great job sticking to this and have discovered some amazing sustainable brands! Check out my sustainable fall capsule wardrobe here!
Craft the perfect apple cider cocktail // Alrighty friends, if you have any delicious spiked apple cider cocktails, send them my way please! I especially love sipping my warm seasonal cocktail by the fire!
Experience Essex, CT // Remember my amazing getaway to Essex, CT this past summer? I’m determined to get up to Essex in the fall and see this picture-perfect town during peak foliage! If you visit Essex this fall, make sure you stop by J.Alden Women’s clothing boutique and say hi to the owner, Amy! And if you’re looking for a place to stay, look no further than the historic and stunning Griswold Inn!
Day Trip To Litchfield // I drove up to Litchfield back in early August and LOVED it! Shortly upon returning home from that day trip I vowed to go back in fall to experience this charming town further!
Visit a Cranberry Bog & Pick Cranberries // Haven’t you always dreamed of throwing on a pair of waders, rolling your sleeves up, and picking cranberries in a bog? Well… I have and this year I’m fixing to make sure this gets checked off my bucket list!
Spend an afternoon at a winery! // There are so many vineyards in Connecticut, many of which are pet-friendly! At the top of my list to visit are: Land of Nod, Paradise Hills Vineyard, and Sunset Meadow Vineyards.

I am always done for a winery, ahah! And you should look into an apple cider margarita! I had one last year that was OMG so good. Who knew apple and tequila went well together!
WHAT?! An apple cider margarita!? My mind is blown!! I’m going to have to try that ASAP! Thanks Libby 🙂
