Yay, it’s spring! I kind of can’t believe we’ve already made our way into spring, but I’m certainly not complaining!! This year I’m being extra intentional with treating this transition into spring as the perfect time to reset & refresh my life and my living spaces. That’s why I’m so excited to be partnering with Christmas Tree Shops today to share my under $200 Coastal-Inspired Spring Bedroom Refresh! Keep reading for all the details! I’ll also be sharing how YOU can re-create this coastal-inspired bedroom oasis on a budget with Christmas Tree Shops!
There are SO many ways to refresh your living spaces this spring, but today we’re specifically focusing on the bedroom. I’m sharing 5 of the easiest ways to refresh your bedroom this spring that will make the biggest impact. And without spending more than $200! You know that beautiful, coastal-inspired look that makes you long for your next white-sand-beach getaway? Yep, that one. I’m here to show you that you can achieve that luxe-feel without the luxury price tag!
You don’t realize how much of a positive impact a new set of sheets makes until you crawl into bed that first night. Perhaps most of all it was just nice to change things up! Each morning I make my bed, I now do so with a smile because these sheets just make me happy! Christmas Tree Shops had a great selection of sheets with coastal-inspired patterns on my last trip a few weeks ago. There were so many choices that I struggled to choose just one! As you can see below, I opted for these light-blue seashell striped sheets that were under $20.
Fresh blooms and house plants might be one of the simplest ways to instantly refresh a space. Keeping them alive, however, might be a bit more difficult! As part of my coastal-inspired spring bedroom refresh I went out to my local nursery to purchase some plants. I opted for a mini fiddle leaf plant and a beautiful blue hydrangea bush. (Hydrangeas are my absolute favorite flower! I can’t tell you how much joy they bring me each morning I wake up to them.) While house plants can get to be a bit on the pricier side, my pots were so affordable! Christmas Tree Shops has a wide variety of gardening supplies and pots. Everything from large outdoor pots to smaller ones for inside your home. I opted for a couple of medium-sized pots which were $6 each!!
Pro tip: Easily raise your house plants off the floor by purchasing 2 of the same pot. Then all you have to do is flip one upside down and stack the other pot on top of it. It’s really that simple!
If you’ve been hanging out with me for a while now then you’ve probably heard me say “throw pillows are the adult version of stuffed animals.” It’s so true! Throw pillows really are one of the easiest ways to make a huge impact in your bedroom without spending a ton of money. Can we also just agree that these throw pillows look like they’d cost at least 3x as much as they did!? (They were between $17-$20.) I also think I deserve an award for being able to walk out of Christmas Tree Shops with ONLY three throw pillows…
Alright, this one here is actually several similar tips all combined. So many people overlook their bedside tables when refreshing a space. I get it, your bedside table serves a purpose. It’s where your phone lands at the end of each night and where you keep your glasses. I’m here to tell you that having a beautifully styled bedside table and a functional bedside table are not mutually exclusive! I was so impressed by the wide array of beautiful coastal-inspired accessories at Christmas Tree Shops. These accessories completely transformed my bedside table from being “blah” to being “ahha!!”
Pro tip #1: To achieve that elevated, luxe coastal look you’ll want to stick to a simple color palette. For me, I stuck to white, sandy neutrals, and blues. I was able to bring in a lot of texture with the white faux coral pieces. These pieces contrasted really well with my indigo ceramic accents and distressed natural picture frame.
Can we also take a second to talk about my new bedside lamp?! It’s so darn cute!! I think the previous lamp I had was a bit too big for the space. This one is perfect!
Pro Tip #2: To adjust the height of your bedside lamp, just round up 3 hardcover books and remove their book jackets. Then, turn them around so the spine is facing the wall and the pages are facing towards you and stack them biggest to smallest and place your lamp on top. While the lamp I bought from Christmas Tree Shops would have been a fine height without the books, I wanted to create this layered effect which ultimately brings a bit more sophistication to the space.
All the decor pieces you see on my bedside table are from Christmas Tree Shops. That includes the hourglass, distressed picture frame, nautical rope door stop, indigo trinket tray, scalloped edge white platter, and the coral pieces! I also picked up a few more affordable accessories including this wooden charger, which I repurposed as a beach-y bed tray pictured below!
Along with throw pillows, candles might be one of my favorite things to shop for. Does anyone else have this inner struggle when deciding which candle to go for? Do you pick the one that comes in a beautiful container or the one with the best smell? This time I luckily didn’t have to compromise! I opted for a beautiful blue glass candle with a sandalwood scent. I’m actually burning it right now while I type this!
I came in right under $200 for this coastal-inspired spring bedroom refresh. I would 100% recommend checking out your local Christmas Tree Shops (click here to find a store near you) to re-create this look in your own home! Is the bar cart Serena and Lily are the rattan outdoor dining chairs also Serena? Beautiful!
Hi there!! Yes, my bar cart is Serena & Lily and I LOVE IT! It’s so versatile and I wish had I one for every room of my house!! The rattan outdoor dining chairs are actually up-cycled from a restaurant that was getting rid of their chairs and buying new ones! I LOVE them even though they’re well loved because they definitely give me that S&L vibe!!
