Happy Friday!! I’m so excited to share today’s blog post with you! I’ve been using KERALOVE products for the past couple of months (if you follow me on Instagram then you’ve probably seen me talk about them more than a few times!). Before I go into why I love KERALOVE (ha!) I think it’s important to share some background on the real struggle that is my hair [insert eye roll here].

I’ve always loved the color of my hair. A lot. But that’s about it. As pretty as my natural red coloring is, bad days have always been the norm for me. For years, I envied girls with that wake-up-in-the-morning and go hair. You know, naturally pretty hair. More than that, though, I just wanted hair that I could pull up into a ponytail and have it look nice. Mine never did.

To best describe my hair, I would compare it to an angsty teenager. You know how people say they have problem skin? Well, I have problem hair! Or rather, HAD problem hair before I found KERALOVE!

Aside from my hair naturally kinking at the top of my head (which made those sleek ponytails impossible), my hair gets so frizzy sooo easily. Before KERALOVE I wore my hair in a messy bun 99% of the time (unless I was shooting blog photos or Instagram stories). Wearing my hair in a bun was the only way to deal with it. Well, it was that or taking the time to straighten my hair every day, which I did not want to do knowing how it’s no good for my hair’s longterm health.

Alright, I think you get the picture now. For years I’ve been in constant conflict with my hair and for years I’ve tried different products–let me add, I’ve tried several other keratin products too, all of which disappointed me!–only to eventually give up trying new products because nothing worked.

Let’s Fast Forward Now…

A couple months ago I started partnering with KERALOVE. After doing thorough research on their products and, more importantly, their customers’ experiences, I was interested in trying some of their hair products. Well, let me just cut to the chase. I’m IN LOVE with KERALOVE! This just goes to show you that you really should never give up trying to find that perfect product because it’s probably out there!

KERALOVE products contain their signature Keratril Complex™, which is an advanced technology surpassing other keratin products. KERALOVE products give my hair a silky, smooth finish unlike any other hair products that I’ve used at home. I’ve tested out both blow-drying my hair after a shower and letting my hair air-dry. Obviously blow-drying is the better option! It makes my hair look salon fresh, and most importantly, NOT frizzy! I should mention, my definition of blow-drying is taking a blow dryer and running my hand through my hair for about 8-10 minutes until my hair is completely dry. I don’t own a hairbrush (have you seen The Princess Diaries makeover scene? Yep.), but even when I did own a hairbrush I was never able to use it while blow-drying my hair. So all this to say, I can blow-dry my hair to be straight without even using a brush, thanks to KERALOVE products!

Letting my hair air-dry yields great results too (not the same as using heat), but I’m still left with a non-frizzy end product, which is kind of a miracle in my book! KERALOVE describes this best on their website where they say that air-drying your hair will yield results similar to your hair’s natural body. There are a handful of times when my naturally curly hair hasn’t turned frizzy, but now I can love my natural curls without the frizz! Backtracking to blow-drying my hair dry for a second, before KERALOVE I was never able to blow-dry my hair straight. Honestly, it kind of would turn into a fro! Ha, yes really.

1. KERALOVE Leave-In Conditioner – This was one of the first products KERALOVE sent me. If I could only take one hair product with me when I travel, this would be it. I use a good amount of this leave-in conditioner every time I shower (about the size of 2 quarters in the palm of my hand), followed by a quick blow-dry and the results are pretty amazing!
2. KERALOVE Hair Mask – This product comes in a travel-size bottle (yay!) and really helped tame my hair when I was in Jamaica. That humidity was harsh! I use this mask at home once a week, but when I was in Jamaica I used it every day because, well, humidity….
3. KERALOVE Moisturizing Shampoo – This is one of two products I received a couple weeks ago and no surprise, loved it! The keratin-based shampoo I previously used is mediocre at best compared to this one! Also worth noting, this shampoo is sulfate free!
4. KERALOVE Balance Conditioner – The second of two product I received a couple weeks ago. I’m still playing around with using this conditioner and the leave-in conditioner vs. using just one or the other. Before KERALOVE I would always condition my hair twice so going through a bottle of conditioner every couple weeks was a real thing. Not fun! It’s taking me time to get used to not having to use as much conditioner as I used to. Yippie! I’ll definitely circle back with you guys once I figure out my perfect balance of the two products!
