Guys! I can’t believe today is finally here! I’ve been dreaming of sharing my kitchen reveal with you all for what has felt like an eternity and now, here we are! If you’re new around here or just want a refresher on what the BEFORE looked like, then click here. Without further ado, let’s check out my cozy, coastal inspired kitchen!
As far as dream kitchens go, this one comes pretty darn close to being mine! Everything I disliked about the kitchen prior to the renovation is like a distant memory and honestly, I love everything about this one! A huge part of why I love this kitchen so much is thanks to my Café Appliances from County TV & Appliance.
Funny story time: All growing up I always dreamed of having a Sub-Zero fridge. No, seriously though, when my mom or sister would ask what I was saving up for, I would always say “A Sub-Zero!” Gosh, I was a weird kid… anyway! I used to dream of having one until I discovered Café Appliances. If my personality were an appliance package, it would be these white and gold Café Appliances!
It’s no secret that I had no idea what I was doing coming into this renovation. The idea of appliance shopping was pretty darn overwhelming for this girl right here. At first I didn’t think I was actually going to be able to make the Café Appliances work in this space, but thanks to the team over at County TV & Appliance in Stamford they were able to figure out a way to make my dream appliances a reality!
This is a little bit of a tangent, but the reason why Café Appliances weren’t going to work at first is because the location of the range & microwave used to be flipped prior to the renovation. I absolutely did not want a huge hood coming down from the ceiling in the middle of my new open concept kitchen & living room. We needed to find another solution to venting the range, but Café Appliances don’t have a downdraft venting option that go behind the range. Gosh, I know way more about venting than I ever thought I would. Ha!
Long story short, Jason (my amazingly helpful salesperson) at County TV & Appliance came up with the idea to swap the location of the range with the dishwasher and voila! Now the range would be vented by the microwave. Problem. Solved. Thanks, Jason!
Truth be told, the plan was to do subway tile in the kitchen because I really wanted to have my own Joanna Gaines moment. However, we had tons of this scalloped tile leftover from another project (will be revealed soon!) and couldn’t return it so instead of letting it go to waste, we used it as our backsplash. Everything happens for a reason because I couldn’t imagine this kitchen now without my scalloped tile! It adds a subtle coastal vibe and every time I look at it, it makes my heart happy.
I really stepped out of my comfort zone here with these charcoal grey cabinets. The plan originally was to do all white. Of course. But again, Jason at County TV & Appliance brought up a great point that all white cabinets wouldn’t really allow my white Café Appliances to stand out like I wanted them to. Again, Jason = genius!
Other options that crossed my mind were doing light blue, emerald, or navy blue bottom cabinets, but that would have been a lot more money & time. Ultimately I love that I went with the charcoal grey cabinets, they go really well with the color of our hardwood floors and they’re still mainstream enough not to turn off any future buyers!
Who cares if I live right next to the beach, I wanted my farmhouse sink! It’s really hard to say what exactly I love most about this kitchen, but this sink is up there! Of course I went all out with the white & gold theme and ended up with this gorgeous faucet. Also, how adorable are the little cabinets underneath the sink?
Keeping in line with my coastal town, I had to give a nod to my love for all things nautical, which is why my kitchen was the perfect spot to hang this acrylic beach print. I’ll link Mary Wade’s artwork here for you guys to shop! & I’ll link my exact piece here! I love how her artwork is inspired by all things coastal!
It’s safe to say Ranger is a huge fan of our barstools. Their oversized cushion seats are the perfect place for her to nap away the afternoon or to help act as my sous-chef while I’m cooking. I originally had my heart set on bamboo-inspired bar stools, but I ended up with these very similar looking ones that just made a little more sense. I love the Chippendale styling and I actually think they help blend the two spaces together rather than act as a divider. That’s a win in my book!
Each morning now I come downstairs and can’t believe how lucky I am to be able to call this place my home. And also, I’m pretty darn proud that I dreamed up this kitchen almost entirely on my own. It’s a little slice of heaven and it 100% lives up to being the “heart of the home.” I definitely couldn’t have handled the appliance shopping without County TV & Appliance though!!
If you have any questions about the renovation at all, please feel free to reach out via email ( styleinherited@gmial.com ) OR send me a DM on Instagram! I always love hearing from you guys!!

That’s an amazing kitchen! You did a beautiful job!
Thank you so much!! Come on over soon 🙂
Your kitchen looks amazing!!!
Thank you so much Alexandra! I’m so happy with how it turned out! 🙂
I love the shade of grey you chose for your cabinets & can’t seem to find it, what brand & color did you use
Thank you so much Celeste! I wish I knew the colors, but my cabinets are not custom so I only got to choose from preselected options (white, light grey and dark grey). I’m sorry I can’t be more helpful!
Beautiful Kitche! I’m in the process of doing a makeover and decided to do the two tone as well. If you don’t mind me asking what grey and white paint did you choose. I’m struggling picking one. I love the tones you have. Beautifully done.
Hi Debra! Thanks you for your kind words on my kitchen. Unfortunately my cabinets aren’t custom so I just picked from the pre selected color options I was presented with. I’m sorry! I wish I could be of more help here!
Best,
Helen
Can you tell me where you found your gold faucet and cabinet hardware? I’ve been looking all over!
Hi Brittany! My gold faucet is from Moen. If I recall, when I went faucet shopping, this was the only gold/bass option by Moen. The faucet is a really close match to my Café Appliance handles, which is awesome! My cabinet handles are from Home Depot (and were really affordable!!). Unfortunately my cabinet handles are NOT an exact match to my faucet & appliance handles. While it bothered me at first, it doesn’t really bother me anymore. (I feel like it’s a bit deceiving in the photos though from the way my photographer edited them).
If you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out! I’m more than happy to help!

Hi- Your kitchen looks beautiful. What is the brand and size of your farmhouse apron sink. I’m trying to figure out what size would be best for my kitchen.
Thank you!
Hi there! Thank you! My sink is ProChef brand! Forgive me, but I’m not sure exactly how to measure the sink’s dimensions. The inside of the sink is 26 wide by 15 deep. For me, it’s the perfect size! The only thing I wish I’d done differently is get a fireclay sink because those are much more durable.
You have a beautiful kitchen! How is it having white appliances? Love your rug in front of the sink. Can you tell me where you got it?
Thanks Debbie! I’ll send you an email with more details! I love my white appliances they were my dream appliances and I smile every time I look at them! 🙂
Wow! I’m actually in the process of putting in a two-tone white and charcoal cabinet kitchen with white Cafe range as I type this! I was on Pinterest looking for hardware inspiration for two-tone cabinets and randomly saw your kitchen. It’s gorgeous! 😍 currently the plan is black soapstone counters but your white looks awesome too, now I’m second guessing. I’m also going to change out the gold cafe hardware for brushed stainless/nickel throughout. I love your cabinet pulls, will be going to HD soon. I have been in love with the cafe line since I saw its release, it’s really something special.
Thank you Julie and how funny! You’ll have to send me a picture of your kitchen once it’s done, I’d love to see it! The black soapstone counters sound stunning! I’m very happy with my quartz countertops because they’re so easy to take care of!
Best,
Helen
This is such a beautiful reveal! We are located in South Florida so we have many customers to decorate their home away from home. Are there any appliances from our site that you would recommend we present to new renovators? Rosners.com
Hi! Thank you so much! I don’t know too much about appliances, I just know about my Cafe Appliance line, which I’m very happy with!
We have those too and we agree many people love them! Would you be open to a collab about these appliances?
Hi Melany, I’m flattered you’d like to work together! Thank you! Please send me an email with more details! I look forward to hearing from you! helen@lifeonphillipslane.com
Hi Melany, than you so much for reaching out! I’m more than happy to discuss a potential collaboration, please email me with more details! styleinherited@gmail.com
Thank you!
We’re redoing our kitchen and trying to decide whether or not to use a tinted grout. Did you use white or tinted? Certain angles I can’t tell, but I like it!
Thanks!
Hi Jacquie! Thank you so much! We used a light grey grout in our kitchen and bathroom. I think it’s much better than white, which just gets so dirty so quickly!
Gorgeous kitchen! I love your rug…where is it from?
Thank you Julie! My rug is old from Home Goods, but I actually just replaced it with this cute gingham one! https://rstyle.me/+rSAaGEaSLFw-4-Xib6w7pA
I love the tile. Can you tell me where you got it? Thanks!!
Hi! I got it at Lima Tile in Stamford, CT!
Hi! Found your kitchen on Pinterest and absolutely love it. Where did you get the flooring from and what is the brand/color? I am doing a similar cabinet and that floor is perfect!
Thanks in advance 🙂
Hi Hallie!
Thanks for reaching out and for your kind words about my kitchen! My kitchen flooring is just red oak hardwood flooring that is stained with a grey stain. After the stain was applied they wiped it down immediately with a dry rag so that the stain color didn’t get too dark. I hope that helps!
Best,
Helen
I love the tile combo with grey kitchen cabinets. So beautiful!
Thanks so much Abby!
Hi Helen,
Can you tell me the exact color you used for your lower charcoal grey cabinets. Thank you. And FYI your kitchen looks amazing.
I’m thinking of doing my lower cabinets grey. I feel in love with the blue naval color but figured to look into gray since all of my appliance would be stainless steel. I don’t know if that’s a good idea or not but your home looks amazing.
Best,
Niki
Hi Niki! I will send you an email with my cabinet details, thank you so much for your kind words about my kitchen! TO BE HONEST, my dream was having navy blue lower cabinets. However, I wasn’t about to go the custom route, and these grey cabinets were pre-made and much cheaper. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE my grey lower cabinets, but navy was my dream!
Hi!! Was wondering the same thing, can you please send a link to your cabinets? I’m obsessed with the color!
Hi Molly! Thank you so much 🙂 I have all the details on my kitchen linked in this post, you just have to add your email to get them delivered directly to your inbox!
Could I get the name and color of your bottom cabinets! Love the look. Would it look good with chrome accessories?
Beautiful job!
Hi Lillie, for all the details on my kitchen including cabinet paint colors, please use the sing-up form embedded in the blog post to receive those details! Thanks!
Also, I think chrome handles would look great with the grey cabinets!
Hi. Could you please tell me what wall color paint you used in this kitchen? Thank you.
Hi Maureen! Wall color in the kitchen is Chantilly Lace by Benjamin Moore 🙂

I recently stumbled upon Cafe Series appliances and fell completely in love! But I thought I had to totally rethink my cabinet colors because I wanted a nice charcoal grey and I didn’t think charcoal would go with the white appliances. But after seeing your kitchen I’m convinced—charcoal cabinets with cafe series appliance!! We’re having our kitchen cabinets painted in a few weeks and I’m so excited for my kitchen to look like yours!! Thanks for the inspo!!
Hi Sadie! I’m SO happy to hear that I was able to help you decide on your Cafe Appliances with charcoal grey cabinets! I absolutely love how my kitchen turned out and I know you’ll love yours just as much! If you ever have any other questions, don’t hesitate to reach out via email or send me a DM on Instagram @styleinherited 🙂
I’m about to start a kitchen renovation and came across the Cafe brand. Going for a duel fuel 30″ range in matte white, counter depth refrigerator and dishwasher. My question is about your microwave. Have you used the convection cooking feature? Also, is it vented outside and does it have enough power to full the cooking fumes out? I’d like to use it but debating about a hood instead.
Your kitchen turned out beautifully.
Hi Cecilia! My microwave is our venting system above the range (it’s not vented outside) and it works great! I think a vent would also be another great option! I haven’t used the convection cooking option on the microwave, sorry I can’t be more help there. I can say I’d 100% recommend these appliances to anyone!
What color did you decide to do your cabinet hinges? I couldn’t tell from photo and I’m doing same color scheme with gold hardware but not sure if I should do white hinges on top and gold hinges with grey on bottom since it’ll be hard to match gret
Hi Courtney! Our cabinet hinges are completely hidden inside the cabinets, but they are typical standard silver color.
Hello! We are in the thick of a total remodel including the kitchen. We have our cafe appliances on order (matte white) are doing white cabinets, black quartz countertop, white farmhouse sink and are stuck on finishes like, drawer/door pulls, faucet, pendant lighting for the island, etc. The main thing I am hung up on right now is the drain faucet. I planned on going with a white drain to blend in with the sink but the company rep says the white chips. What color faucet is in your sink? I don’t mind mixing metals but am not sure a stainless colored faucet and wire rack in the bottom of the sink will look good with the cafe appliance handles and the possible black or gold faucet and drawer/door pulls we are considering.
Hi Kristie! Thank you so much for stopping by and checking out my blog post about my kitchen!! I have to say, I was in the exact same boat when doing my remodel. I ended up going with a gold finish Moen faucet (which I cannot recommend enough!). My drain is stainless steel (garbage disposal) and I have a grey rack in the bottom of my sink to prevent scratching. I haven’t given it a second thought since the kitchen was complete. It looks totally fine and I’m so much happier with having pieces that I know will last and stand up to daily wear and tear, versus going with something that just looks good.
Also, my cabinet pulls are from Home Depot (link below) and I cannot recommend them enough as well. They’re affordable and heavy duty!

This kitchen is the *inspiration* for my kitchen renovation!!
Can you please tell me size pulls you used for your cabinets and what made you choose that size? I am flip flopping between the 3.75” and 5”. I was leaning towards 5” because my widest draw is 30” but my smallest is 12” which makes me think I should get 3.75”.
Hi Kelly, thank you so much! My cabinet pulls are 5in and I used the same size for the entire kitchen (except for my 3 largest drawers, for those pulls I used the 7in handles.
Thank you Helen! Can I also ask what color grout you used for your backsplash. I really am not kidding when I say your kitchen is my inspiration. In fact, aside from the Cafe Appliances (which I also want but since our appliances are in good working order, I can’t justify the additional expense), I am basically copying your kitchen 100%!!
Kelly! This made my day, wow I am honored! I’ll send you an email with more details & thoughts 🙂
Hi, love your kitchen! I’m also doing a white and grey combo with gold accessories . I like the hardware and have samples of it I’m going to try. My lowers are all drawers. Range from 12jnch to 39 inch . I’ll have to use different sizes. How do you think that will look or should I use two smaller ones on the large drawers? Thanks lee
Hi Lee! Congrats, that is so exciting! I used the same size handles for all my cabinets, regardless of the size they are and I was very happy with how it turned out. I believe my handles were 5in in length. Ultimately it’s personal preference. I’d suggest trying both out and seeing which you prefer! Let me know how your kitchen turns out, I’d love to see pictures!!
Thanks so much!
You’re welcome!
I came across your kitchen remodel on pinterest and got so excited when I saw you used county tv for your appliances! I live in CT too! We are starting the thought of a kitchen remodel and this is right up my alley! I would love some of the specifics like paint colors and tile etc that you used. Thanks so much!
Hi Nicole! Thank you so much! I tried to source everything locally, I will send you all the details via email! 🙂
Wow, your kitchen is stunning and Ranger is adorable! I love the two tone cabinets, they really make the space unique. I’m getting my kitchen cabinets redone by a local cabinet painter in a few weeks and am totally going to copy that two-tone look!
Thank you Sarah! I’m so glad you love my kitchen and are using it as inspiration for your own! Please send a picture and share the final product, I’d love to see it!
Best,
Helen
Hello – I’m planning a similar color scheme for me reno. Still trying to figure out the right quartz countertop selection. There are so many. Curious which one you have here in your beautiful kitchen. Thank you.
Hi Carole! I’m so excited for you and your reno!! I’m so sorry but don’t know exactly which quartz counter I went with or what the name would be. I looked at some samples in a showroom, walked through a slab yard and picked mine out. I’d suggest doing the same to make sure you’re completely comfortable with your choice! Mine has very light and subtle veining, which I love personally!
Sorry I can’t be of more help!
Best,
Helen

Your kitchen is so beautiful! Can you tell me the name and brand of the paint of the bottom cabinets of your kitchen please? I love the color!
Thanks
Hi! That information will be sent directly to your inbox if you fill out the embedded form in this blog post. 🙂
Your kitchen is beautiful. We’ve wanted to get the French door Cafe series refrigerator, but we have a wall on one side. It looks like a similar situation as yours. We’re afraid the door will hit the wall. Have you had any issues, or did you do something to avoid this problem? Thanks!
Hi Bonnie! Thanks for stopping by Styleinherited.com and for checking out my kitchen! YES we ran into the same exact issue. So what we ended up doing is we left approx. 4 inches between the wall and the fridge (which was filled in with a dummy panel by the cabinet people) and that allowed us to open the fridge door closest to the wall 90 degrees, which worked fine for us! The other fridge door is able to open all the way and I never had an issue putting anything in or out (including our huge turkey for thanksgiving!).
Please feel free to reach out if you have any other questions!
Best,
Helen
Can you please share the exact color or the gray charcoal cabinets on the bottom and the brand paint.
I’m struggling right now finding the perfect gray for my kitchen. Your kitchen is a dream. Thank you for sharing.
Hi Yvonne! Thanks for stopping by! I’m sorry, but I don’t have the exact color of the cabinets as they weren’t custom done.
Best,
Helen
How much space is between the wall and left side of your refrigerator? And is your refrigerator the 33″ or 36″ wide model? Thank you! Looks Fantastic!
Hi Audrey!
My apologies for the delayed reply! I went with the smaller of the two models (33 in) and there was 3.5 in I believe between the wall and the fridge. It was just enough space to be able to open the door 90 degrees.
What color grey and white did you use?
