Happy LMOTY (Last Monday Of The Year) ha, um yeah, I just made that up. Anywayyyy– I cannot believe that we’re already saying goodbye to 2018 today! In short, 2018 was good to me. Like really, really, really good to me. I spent so much quality time with so much of my family and I was able to traveled to so many new places on top of revisiting some of my favorite places (like my Grandma’s house in Ocracoke and my alma mater, Roanoke). That to me is what really made 2018 to special. Side note: I’m currently working on a fun little travel post with my 2018 trips and my 2019 travel wish list! Keep an eye out for that one, coming soon!

First, before diving into my 2018 Intentions, I just wanted to share my gratitude for all of you who have helped me grown. Shoutout to my family for always putting up with the behind the scenes of blogging, for the thousands of photos they took of me, and for keeping me grounded by using my blogging as a huge source of their jokes. I’m so lucky to have such an amazing family that always supports me, and is always up for grabbing a cocktail!

Thank you to all of you for following along, for reading my words, and for not getting tired of me (at least not yet!). I love sharing my passion for writing with you and even more than that, I love that my passion for writing has found itself a purpose and a home in Style Inherited.

And last, but certainly not least, thank you to all the brands, businesses, and companies that have partnered with Style Inherited over the past almost year and a half! I’m so excited to continue my partnerships with some of these brands and to also say hello to new partnerships in 2019!

My Top 5 Intentions for 2019

1. Plan out my blog posts at least a month in advance. Up until this point I’ve brainstormed blog ideas in advance, but usually decide last minute what exactly it is I want to write about on any specific day. I’ve appreciate the in-real-time feeling that this gives me (during the writing process) and you guys as well, but I also recognize that having a plan and having a schedule is important. Wish me luck on this one!
2. Make each month meaningful. I’ve decided to give each month a theme, such as Art, Education, Health, Adventure…I’ll do a whole blog post on the list once it’s finalized. The main idea here though is to do at least one thing inspired by the month’s theme during said month (so for instance, during Health Month I will probably finally get that skin check I’ve been putting off and maybe I’ll do an infrared sauna session at Inner Light Wellness).
3. Travel and really experience at least 5 new places. 2018 was a year of travel for me and I loved it. I loved every minute of every adventure (aside from the packing and unpacking).
4. Re-establish my workout routine (switching off between Pure Barre and Ellitpica). I also need to find a way to keep up my workout routine around my travel. This year I did a terrible job juggling the two so I can really only go up from here!
5. Eat dinner at the table, and NOT on the couch (at least twice a week). Hey, I’m setting attainable goals here guys, but this is going to be a tough one!
