Hi friends! I’m finally getting around to this “how to style white jeans for winter” blog post, which was actually a reader request from a month or so ago. Sorry! My grandmother always said “better late than never” and I completely agree!
So let’s dive right into it! If it wasn’t already obvious, I clearly ignore the “no white after Labor Day” rule. Does anyone else think it’s kind of silly to shelve a perfect good pair of jeans just because they’re white? And who ever said white jeans aren’t wintery- I mean hellooooo, they’re the color of snow!
Alrighty, here are a few tips and tricks to styling white jeans in the winter! Combine these ideas together or just use one!
I’ve created a whole board on Pinterest (White Jeans In Winter) with tons of inspiration, so make sure you check that out! (I’ve also linked a bunch of outfit ideas below).
This is probably what I gravitate towards most often when wearing white jeans. I especially love the look of a chunky grey or camel colored sweater with white jeans. It’s timeless!
An easy tip for success with styling white jeans in winter is look around in your closet, find your fall/winter essentials (such as flannels, turtlenecks, cardigans, etc) and pair your white jeans with those! I love this flannel and vest look here!
Pro Tip: Layer a flannel underneath a chunky sweater for a warm, chic look. I especially love the look of a red, plaid flannel underneath a cream-colored sweater styled with white jeans, like this! Try it, I promise you’ll love it too.
So far this winter I’ve been living in my OTK black & grey suede boots. Mostly because they cover so much of my leg that they act like an additional layer! Of course you can style your white jeans with booties and knee-high boots (I really love how white jeans look with booties), but if you’re tentative to walk out of your house in white jeans in the winter time, covering up 1/2-3/4 of your jeans with boots definitely is a great way to ease into the style. Check out this look here!
One of my favorite parts of winter is all the fun textures that my closet now has- fur vests, leather jackets, sequin blazers, glitter shirts, you get the picture! I can confidently say none of those things exist in my spring/summer wardrobe! A super easy way to style your white jeans for winter is by playing around with your winter textures! I especially love this look here with a chunky sweater, fur vest, and a stylish fedora! OR this look with a leather jacket.
Very much like chunky sweaters, chunky scarves (or any scarf) are a great way to winterize your look! Maybe you don’t have an oversized sweater, and that’s fine! Grab a grey sweater like this one here, a chunky scarf, and you’re all set! Practically speaking, I’m a huge fan of accessorizing with scarves. It’s just another way for me to stay cozy and warm in the winter!
I hope these tips help! Most importantly, you have to have feel good about what you’re wearing. If you haven’t already, make sure you check out my White Jeans In Winter inspiration board on Pinterest for even more ideas!

I love all of these ideas Helen! I agree on the OTK boot thing…I have been living in mine too and good point made on how they cover up most of the white jean! 🙂 .
Thanks Jenny! OTK boots are the best! I can’t stop wearing mine!
