Hi friends! I woke up to a very wintery Wednesday here and am kind of excited about it! This is our first snow at the new place, so my morning plans consist of a pancake breakfast, some blog work, and taking Ranger to the park! Speaking of Miss Ranger, I’m so excited to be sharing my holiday cards with you today (of course, featuring the fluffy girl herself). Just like last year, I partnered with Basic Invite to bring my gold foil holiday card dreams to fruition. They turned out even better than I could have imagined! Something that’s extra special about our holiday cards this year is that they are doubling as my new address announcements. Pretty nifty, huh? Keep scrolling to check out my custom emerald & gold foil holiday cards with Basic Invite.
Ranger LOVES Christmas. It’s not because of the ridiculous number of presents Santa brings her (translation: countless treats and chew toys), but because she just really loves laying under the tree! She must think it’s super cozy or something, because the tree skirt is her favorite place to hang out this time of year. In fact, this year instead of buying a new tree skirt (I somehow lost last year’s in the move), I just used our Barefoot Dreams Blanket. It kind of looks like snow under the tree and is Ranger approved!
One of the reasons why I love Basic Invite for holiday cards is that they have almost unlimited color options. Quite simply put, they’re the best holiday cards! This year I wanted to do something a little different and slightly less traditional. That’s why I went with this gorgeous emerald color for the front of the cards. I think it ended up being the perfect balance of traditional (with the “JOY” design) and modern (with the color choice & gold foil). On the backs of the cards you might notice that I accented the sprigs with the same color emerald from the front.
PRO TIP: I make a point of writing a personal message on each and every holiday card I send out, which is why I always make sure the backs of my cards are functional. This year I went with a pattern on the back of my holiday cards versus a solid color and I LOVE it! I just used a black sharpie to write out the personal messages and they turned out great!
Another reason why I love Basic Invite is that they offer a free address capturing service that takes almost all the stress out of holiday cards! You simply share a link with your family and friends to collect their address. Then Basic Invite will print their addresses on the envelopes for you at no additional cost. P.S. Basic Invite offers over 40 different color envelopes!
Adding gold foil to the holiday cards this year was a no-brainer. I just finished a home reno where all my fixtures and handles are now gold, so to say I like gold details might be a little bit of an understand. As for the cards, I love the foil detailing in the design and also with the “Love, Ranger” signature. I think I’m on the gold foil train for good now, just wait for next year!
This post is in partnership with Basic Invite. As always, all opinions are my own.
