I’m so happy to be back in my blogging routine! I missed having a schedule, is that weird? I mean, I’m basically saying I’m happy to being back to my boring life, but after a hectic two weeks and lots of travel it kind of feels good. With that being said, in just a few short days I’ll be back to a busy schedule and, wait for it, more travel. Not complaining though! I love travel, but sometimes I just don’t feel like I can catch my breath!

Do you have a long weekend planned? I’m counting down the seconds until Friday! I can’t wait to get to see my family in North Carolina! Hopefully it’ll be beach weather…not to tan, but at least sit out in the sun and relax. Even though Christmas is always pretty low key, just my mom, dad, sister, grandma, aunt, and uncle, I still love getting dressed up in something festive! This outfit is so fun and festive! It’s perfect to wear from work to a holiday party at night, or who knows, maybe you have something else planned! I’m definitely working this outfit into my rotation this week, and as of right now it is at the top of my list to wear on Christmas.

What I love about this outfit: I always have so much fun mixing and matching the unexpected. In this case the navy blue in both the pants and sweater allow for the tartan pattern and glitter, red ruffle sleeves to work perfectly together! What are your thoughts? My hope was to make this outfit extra festive with paring the red and green together. Do you think it works?

Also let’s just take a second to talk about how powerful of a tool shoes can be! These pants, while I love them (and they are super comfy), can sometimes look frumpy if paired with the wrong sweater and shoes. In this case though, the heels and tight sweater turn this pair of pants into the best version of itself! I still think this outfit would work with a pair of cute flats, and obviously that would be more work appropriate, but just by throwing on a pair of heels it completely elevates this outfit’s style. Ta da!
