Let’s talk cashmere! With Spring seemingly right around the corner (I’ll believe it when I see it), soon it’ll be time to swap out our chunky, thick sweaters for some lighter knits. Personally, I already pulled some of my lighter sweaters out to bring down to my grandma’s house in North Carolina, which is where I’m currently writing from! One sweater I knew I had to bring down with me was my cozy, coastal-inspired cashmere sweater by navyBLEU!
I had the pleasure of meeting Erin (pictured above, the owner of the online boutique navyBLEU) a few weeks ago during a photoshoot for her cashmere sweater line. It was such a treat to finally meet Erin after following along with her on IG for what seems like forever!! Spending the afternoon with Erin allowed me to see firsthand how passionate she is about her online boutique and her own cashmere sweater collection! (P.S. she’ll soon be releasing her second collection, which consists of cover-ups!)
navyBLEU’s coastal-inspired cashmere sweaters aren’t just beautiful and well-made, they’re also thoughtful! In true Erin fashion, a portion of every navyBLEU cashmere sweater sold goes to the nonprofit, One Warm Coat. This non-profit provides free coats to children and adults in need. Cashmere with a Purpose never looked so good or felt so soft!!
As for sizing & fit… navyBLEU sweaters are a semi-fitted shape, mid-hip length, and have full-length sleeves. For reference, I’m wearing a size XS here in my camel and navy striped cashmere sweater. I absolutely love the fit and would say it fits true to size. If you’re looking for a slightly more relaxed fit though, then just size up 1 size. During the photoshoot I also styled an ivory and navy striped sweater in a size small (see below). The looser fit allowed me to do a front tuck. So really, it just depends on your fit preference!
^^that 100% cashmere feeling
These lighter knit cashmere sweaters are the perfect piece to carry you into spring and summer. I’m already daydreaming of when it’ll be warm enough to wear my navyBLEU sweater with my favorite pair of jean shorts! If you’re a fellow New Englander and are still smack dab in the middle of winter, then you could always style one of these sweaters over a button-up shirt or even a thin turtleneck!
