I love Mondays! …said no one ever… Okay, I’m not too upset it’s Monday because I had a great weekend trip with my cousin Adrianna to Boston! We had so much fun exploring the city and shopping Newbury Street and shooting tons of outfits! I’m refreshed, ready to tackle this Monday, and the rest of the week for that matter.
This Club Monaco shirt is on point with this season’s trends! These combo ruffle/bell sleeves are such an unexpected twist to a classic navy sweater. Oh, and I should mention, this material is so soft! While this sweater could be easily dressed up, look how perfect it is styled with this AG denim jacket and AG jeans! I purposely wore denim on denim to dress down this sweater (that is already a contender for holiday parties, with the right accessories and skirt or dress pants this sweater could scream festive). Not only did I dress this look down with denim, but I threw on a pair of white Supergas to complete the outfit. This navy and red clutch is an oldie-but-goodie that I picked up at The Gap a few years back. Outfit details below!
sweater: Club Monaco • jeans: AG • jacket: AG • bag: similar here, here, here, • necklace: similar here • sunglasses: Tory Burch • shoes: Superga
the scoop: I’m wearing an XS in this Club Monaco sweater, the fit is TTS // these AG jeans are perfect–they are stretchy, but they don’t stretch out so I can wear them more times than I should admit before washing (yes, I am one of those people who doesn’t believe in washing denim…unless I wear them on the subway or train or somewhere really dirty) // hair is super frizzy from extreme humidity, but even if it wasn’t humid I’d still probably have it in a top knot What are your thoughts on wearing denim on denim? Would you try this trick to dress down an outfit?
