I would say Happy Monday, but it’s Monday… ha! I might not be the biggest fan of Mondays right now with this freezing winter weather and having to wake up at 5:00am. Who else is with me?! Anyway, I had a relaxing weekend, which come few and far between for me these days. Actually, relaxing might not be the best way to describe this weekend, I did have a lot still on my plate, but at least I took things at a little bit slower pace than I usually do. One of the highlights of my weekend was taking a little trip to a little store called Anthropologie to spice up my wardrobe.
A trend that I’ve admired for a while is embroidered jeans. I just love how this twist on a classic really spices up a wardrobe staple. Lucky for me and all those other embroidered-jean-lovers, this trend doesn’t look like it’s going anywhere. This weekend Anthro has soooo many options! It wasn’t easy to choose, but these Pilcro jeans with their mix of embroidered and sequin stars up the sides of the legs were my favorite pair.
I also snagged this tighter fit “Au Revoir” sweatshirt. I have to be honest, I’m on the fence about these
stylish sweatshirts. On the one hand, I dig the sayings they have, but on the other hand I kind of don’t see where they fit into my wardrobe. If I want to wear a sweatshirt then I’m going to expect it be oversized so I can just curl up in it. But who knows, maybe this is a piece I will grow to love. I like the idea of it, but I’m just not sure when I would grab for a fitted sweatshirt instead of a fuzzy sweater. I’d love to hear your thoughts though, so please share!! Am I the only one who overthinks and overanalyzes trends?
