Are The Dudley Stephens Jay Joggers Really That Great?

Okay ANYWAYYY one of my favorite local brands just released bottoms and I’m here to answer all your questions about them, starting with are the Dudley Stephens Jay Joggers really that great? Keep reading to find out!

I ordered two pairs of the Jay Joggers the day they launched and I’m so glad I did because they sold out quickly! There are still a couple of sizes available in select colors, but the good news is is that they’re restocking soon!
Here’s what you need to know about the Dudley Stephens Jay Joggers:
Fit is True to Size – I’ve got 2 things to say here, 1. I’ve said this sooo many times, but I’ll say it again, my #1 piece of advice when ordering Dudley Stephens products for the first time is two order multiple sizes. Returns are free & easy. Ordering multiple sizes is a no-brainer to me, especially since sizes and colors do sell out so quickly when a drop happens!
Thing 2. while these joggers fit true to size, the only other thing to consider is how you want them to fit. I ordered the XS and the S. The XS is my normal size and they fit perfectly and they’re the ones I’m keeping. With that being said, I can definitely get away with wearing the S they’re just slightly more loose in the butt. This all comes down to what your definition of “true to size” means. If you typically buy your joggers to have a little extra room then you might want to consider sizing up, but if you want the material to run close to your body then stick to your usual size.

They stretch out slightly – This is a huge plus for me! I specifically wore my Jay Joggers a couple of days in a row without washing them (in part because I still haven’t had time to buy a new washing machine) in order to test this out and report back to you guys. The first time I put them on and sat down they felt snug. After wearing them around the house for a little while they did stretch out oh so slightly and now they’re even better! Don’t you just love when that happens?
They don’t shrink in the wash – Prior to purchasing my joggers I was messaging with the Dudley Stephens ladies on Instagram because I had one main concern, if they would shrink in the wash. I’m happy to report back that the DS ladies shared that these will not shrink. Yippie!
Luxurious Pockets – Kind of silly that we live in a world where I’m describing pockets as being luxurious, but that’s because they are! Apparently legitimate pockets are a luxury in women’s fashion, I mean they’re sooo rare to come across. These pants have awesome pockets that fit my iPhone X, which is just another reason why they’re Helen approved.
Made from Terry Fleece – The Terry Fleece is a bit lighter weight than the original Dudley Stephens fleece. It’s the perfect material for these pants and I love how forgiving this fabric is. Yay to no wrinkles! I’d love to see them come out with these joggers in their thicker fleece, and then I’m pretty sure that’s the only thing I’d wear all winter long! #sorrynotsorry
As for length, I am 5’5” and they hit me just perfectly. I feel like if you’re a little bit taller or shorter then they’ll still look great on you! I wasn’t able to find a detailed sizing chart on their website so unfortunately I can’t speak to how they would fit someone who is either much shorter or much taller than their model. What I can say though is the style is very flattering and looks great on all body types! And the most important thing is that they combine comfort with style!
