An EXCLUSIVE Sneak Peak At The New Nordstrom Opening In The SONO Collection
Hi there friends! As promised, I’m sharing an exclusive sneak peak at the new Nordstrom opening in the SONO Collection THIS WEEK! Can you believe it?! This Nordstrom has been a long time coming for Fairfield County. Back in high school I had to go all the way to The Westchester to go prom dress shopping and remember thinking after that trip how much I wished we had our own Nordstrom near home. Well, now we finally do! Moral of the story here, dream do come true!!

The store opens THIS Friday, Oct 11th at 10:00am. (Make sure you get there early though for the Beauty Bash, which starts at 8:00am. Rumor has it there will be lots of giveaways!)
What makes the Nordstrom at The SONO Collection different?
The short answer: so. many. things!! But really, aside from it being brand spankin’ new, there are a lot of new features rolling out in this store. One new feature is interactive dressing rooms that allow you to adjust the lighting to different scenarios (ex. indoor lighting, natural lighting, nighttime…) and you can also use a tablet in the fitting room to connect directly with a sales associate. How cool?!
Our new Nordstrom is offering extended sizing in jeans, and taking a new approach to shopping for denim. Instead of having separate departments (petite, plus, etc.) you now can shop for your jeans all in one place! Nordstrom has also tasked some of its brands to have inclusive sizing, which is pretty darn cool!
Above is a little look at their couture fashion department. I can’t wait to see it when it’s completely done!
Something else that is new is this express department. You’ve got you’re interactive fitting rooms along with a desk to do easy returns and check-outs. This is also where you’d do online order pickup & drop off of returns. They’re making everything so simple, I can’t wait to try these features out! Additionally, this hub has in-house tailor so you can get your pants hemmed while grabbing a coffee at the E Bar (the in-house cafe).
Let’s talk makeup & skincare! Nordstrom has completely transformed their beauty department in their new SONO Collection store. You can walk up and try any product you want either with or without the help of a sales associate. It’s completely up to you! The beauty department is also home to some select in-house services: light treatment, Anastasia Brow Bar, and manicures using safe nail-polish will all be offered here.
All I really have to say about the shoe department is that it’s no joke! Oh yeah, and some BIG name designers have created products exclusively for this store (and the NYC Tower location that’s opening soon). I can’t wait to see what we get!
I was so lucky to get to attend a preview event at Bazille, Nordstrom’s full restaurant and bar. It’s located on the third floor of the store and it’s amazing! The food was delicious and I loved how creative the plates were. It’s exactly what Fairfield County needed!
So who else is excited for this store to open on Friday?! MEEE! By the way, Friday morning they’re having a Beauty Bash that is open to everyone. It’s from 8:00am-10:00am and rumor has it they’re going to be giving away a TON of free stuff. Translation: be there or be square!
