While I’ve always been one to go out of my way to support small businesses, locally owned businesses, and women owned businesses, a few months ago I realized that wasn’t enough. Since then, I’ve made a conscious effort to find Black-owned businesses to support. I’m embarrassed and disappointed in myself to admit this wasn’t something I’d been mindful of prior to a few months ago. With that being said, I’m so excited to share with you these Black-owned brands I absolutely LOVE and will continue to support for years to come! Keep reading for a few Black-owned businesses I love!
OOLI hair care products cater to many hair types, but are especially good for those of us with curly hair. We all know by know I’m a sucker for cute packaging, and OOLI’s bottles look so cute in my shower! More importantly though, OOLI’s hair care products are made with ingredients you can pronounce and that are actually good for your hair. I’ve been using OOLI’s products for over a month and my hair is so much happier now!

Hyper Skin’s first product, their brightening & clearing Vitamin C serum is made with natural ingredients and really works! The price point is really affordable at $36/bottle (15ml), so far mine has lasted 2 months using 1 pump twice a day. I’ve noticed an improvement in my overall skin complexion since starting to use Hyper Skin’s serum. While it hasn’t helped me completely knock my hormonal acne to the curve, my skin looks smoother and my dark spots are lighter.

These luxury candles make the perfect gift for someone special or if you’re looking to #treatyourself. The design of these candles is minimal and stunning. I have my Lenox Candle sitting on my bathroom vanity, which is a big deal since I usually keep the countertop clear of anything and everything. The candle though just really ties the entire bathroom together and the scent is heavenly! The Lenox scent is sophisticated and subtle.

Nuele’s all-in-one CLEAN hair serum is incredible! It detangles, repairs, enriches, and protects your hair with just a drop or two (depending on your hair type). You’ll probably have to play around with the amount you use in the beginning, I find that 1-2 drops works best for my hair. Not only does Nuele’s hair serum enhance my natural curls and keep my hair from getting frizzy, but it also works as a heat protectant! Just work in the oil prior to using heat on your hair, and you’re all set! 1 bottle is $24 and since I only need 1-2 drops each day, the entire bottle will last me this whole year!
As if it couldn’t get any better, Nuele sources its products from female farmers in countries like Ghana and Morocco. In doing so, Nuele is able to help these women feed their families, put their children through school, and ultimately have better lives.
