Hi Hi! I’m taking a little break today from holiday content to share with you some pics from my photoshoot with Shoes N More. First off, I want to give a huge shoutout to Zac Mathias for organizing the shoot, to all the amazing staff at Shoes N More, and to Julia Dags, our amazing photographer! These kinds of photoshoots are my favorite, I got to hang out with Zac, Nina, Megan, and play dress up in all the amazing pieces that Shoes N More has to offer! Honestly, I wanted to leave with all of my looks!
One of the things I love about Shoes N More is their variety! Everything from the cutest animal print booties to Spanx leggings to the perfect formal holiday attire. It’s the perfect one-stop shop to refresh your wardrobe. Fun fact, each location’s selection varies a little bit, so if you’re not finding exactly what you want at the Westport store (although I find that hard to imagine), then you could just pop on over to Greenwich and maybe they’ll have something different! In another scenario, if one Shoes N More location doesn’t have your size, they can pull from another location and have it delivered to the store closest to you. How convenient?!
Something that I wasn’t aware of, but also wasn’t surprised to learn, was that Shoes N More has over 50 years of experience in the women’s footwear, clothing and accessories-world. No wonder why it feels like they have the retail experience down to an art and a science!
In a conversation with Liz, the president of Shoes N More, I learned how her parents were her inspiration and her educators. Liz’s mother first went into business in 1972, a time when the footwear industry was male dominated. What started in footwear quickly branched into clothing and accessories, which is how Shoes N More came to be! Stories like these touch my heart. I mean hellooo, this is Style Inherited, a blog inspired by my mom and named in recognition that I owe it all to her!
Liz also credits her dad, who was a women’s clothing retailer, for teaching her everything she knows about running a business. Shoes N More truly was and is a family affair and I love that about them! Even with all 7 (almost 8 though, stay tuned for Mount Kisco Shoes N More opening soon!) location, Shoes N More has not lost it’s small, family owned business values. You guys know how important that is to me!
This is the perfect running-errands-but-I-want-to-look-cute look! To be honest, most of the time I’m running errands I don’t look cute. But we all have things we’re striving towards right? This is one of mine. Additionally, I could see all my moms reading this (hi guys!) wearing this super cute & equally comfy look for grabbing coffee with friends, school drop off, on a field trip, the list goes on!
Swap this camo puffer vest for a suede Moto jacket and you’re ready to hit the town with your girlfriends! Yes, it’s really that easy to transition this ensemble from a super casual day outfit to a night look!
This is the perfect outfit for all those holiday parties I won’t be invited to. Ha! But actually though… I love playing with feminine pieces and toning them down with something slightly more edgy (I know, I know, I’m the least edgy person out there, but your girl can try right?)
By swapping out the faux fur shawl with this motto jacket/blazer I’ve instantly turned this outfit from being very holiday-ish/formal to something more fun, flirty, and flexible. I’d wear this grabbing drinks with my friends, on a date, or even to a blogger event. Any excuse to wear leggings and I’m there!
