What Makes Style Inherited Different
Hi friends! Happy Wednesday! I told you I’d be on island time all week…oops! It’s a miracle this blog post is getting up at all, considering the fact that on top of the super relaxed lifestyle here, I’m pretty sick. Bleh! I swear I’ve gotten sick the past three vacations I’ve been on. Not fun! At least here I have all the time in the world to just lounge around, be lazy, and rest. Ideally I recover fully before my 13 hour drive home!
Anyway, I had such a special conversation the other day with a brand that I’ve been working with. Style Inherited in it’s most honest sense is a place for me to share my life, and the things I love with you all. Sometimes I make money from Style Inherited, which is cool, and quite frequently now brands send me free stuff, which is really cool, but it’s never been about that for me. Sure I use affiliated links when sharing my outfits and accessories with you all, but I hope you also realize that I don’t ever push those links on you. If you want to buy my stuff, great! Back to the conversation I was having the other day, because boy did I get side tract from that! It was exactly what I needed to hear and I couldn’t be more thankful to that brand for sharing their feedback with me. What they noticed about Style Inherited is exactly what I feel sets myself apart, what makes me different. And that’s important to me, to be different.
Now let me ask you guys, do you notice that I post about the same products over and over again on my Insta stories or in my feed? I’m not trying to be annoying, I’m just trying to be real with you all. If I’m sharing something with you a bunch of times, it’s because it’s something I really love, use all the time, or just straight up believe in. Does that make sense?
The conversation I was having over Instagram DMs was how the brand appreciated me taking the time to continue sharing when I used their product in my daily life. The brand mentioned how most influencers they send products to post about them once, but don’t follow up the way I do. That’s the Style Inherited difference. I was flattered by this conversation, but also kind of shocked! I mean, I’m not doing this to try to set myself apart from the crowd, I’m just being myself, posting a lot, oversharing at times (okay, or all the time, as my mom would probably argue), but I guess that’s just it: being myself is what makes the difference. I’m genuine, I’m honest, and what you get when you jump onto my Instagram feed or click onto my blog is just that. It’s just me being me and I guess it’s working!
