Hi from North Carolina! This week I’m on island time, which is why this post went up a little later than usual this Monday…and also because my Grandma doesn’t have wifi in her house, so I had to run over to the coffee shop this morning to make the post go live.
As promised I’m sharing my experience with Modern Dermatology in Westport, CT today! Spoiler alert- they’re awesome! It’s no secret that I’ve had a rough many years struggling with acne. If you’ve been following along with Style Inherited for some time now then you also probably know that I haven’t always had the best luck with the dermatologists I’ve seen. If you’re wondering what piqued my interest with Modern Dermatology of Connecticut, the answer is kind of simple: it just felt right and my initial feelings were reassured by researching the staff, the practice, and their philosophy. Long story short: Modern Derm knows what they’re doing! Across the board Modern Derm checks all my boxes: kind and considerate staff, a super clean space, a genuine interest in me, and most importantly- honesty!
You might remember a few weeks ago I posted about their (epic) grand opening party that I attended. It was awesome! I had so much fun mixing, mingling, and learning all about the treatments they offer! I couldn’t have had a better time meeting the Modern Derm team! The two dermatologists at the practice are Dr. Robinson and Dr. Klein. Both Dr. Klein and Dr. Robinson received top-tier educations and they have gone on to do amazing things in their fields!
Then last week I was back in the office for my consultation with Dr. Klein, who I’d met briefly at the grand opening party a week prior. Before diving into my consultation with Dr. Klein, let’s talk about the office. It’s gorgeous! The space had been transformed for the grand opening party and there were so many people in attendance that it was hard to get a real feel for the office. When I arrived a week or so ago for my consultation I was blown away for the second time walking into Modern Dermatology’s space. Again, it’s gorgeous! I love the sleek design, the chic feel, and how new/clean everything is! Loyal Style Inherited followers know how important cleanliness is to me (hint: top of my list!). Modern Derm opened over the summer, so the office space is only a few months old at this point. If my skin can look half as flawless as this office space, then I’ll be happy! Just check out the pictures below!!
Anyway, enough of me gushing about how serene of a space Modern Derm has created, let’s talk about my consultation with Dr. Klein! She is so nice! (So is Dr. Robinson, who I met briefly during my visit!) I really enjoyed talking to Dr. Klein about all the different options for getting rid of my acne scars. (Ha, yes I consider talking about how to remove acne scars to be a thrilling conversation!). It was so easy to open up to Dr. Klein about my history with acne (which truly is something I’m not always the best at doing in person) and I felt like we clicked right away! Is that a thing? Clicking with your doctor? Well, I’m going to say it is! After Dr. Klein and I discussed several different treatment options to target my acne scarring, we ultimately decided on a series of Vbeam and Pico laser treatments. I can’t wait to share more about these treatments with you and my progress in future blog posts! Translation- keep an eye out for lots of skin updates on Instagram and on the blog!
I won’t have to hide my acne scars behind my camera for too much longer!
I couldn’t be more excited to be partnering with Modern Dermatology on this journey to minimize/get rid of my acne scars! Content is sponsored by Modern Dermatology of Connecticut. All opinions, as always, are my own!
