Nicole Miller Event at The Fred Shop Westport
If you’re not fan girl-ing hard, then are you really a fan girl at all?
Hi ladies! I know I said I would be sharing a “how to shop your closet” post on the blog today, but I had such a fun time at The Fred Shop’s Nicole Miller event last night that I had to share it with you! So yes, it is 10:00pm on Thursday night, I’ve had a glass (or two) of rosé, and I’m just now writing this blog post for you. Oops!
The Fred Shop does an amazing job selecting designers and pieces to feature in both of their boutiques, located in Westport and Old Greenwich. Actually, they might do too good of a job! I find myself debating whether to go into The Fred Shop when I’m in OG because I know it’ll be impossible for me to leave without getting something! I’m not even exaggerating, their selection is just spot on! And probably a large part of that is because they have Nicole Miller!
I kind of feel like it’s hard to describe what aspects I love about Nicole Miller’s collection. If I say the colors, the textures, the patterns, that’s all obvious! So here’s the least cliché way I can put it- the Nicole Miller brand consistently creates pieces that allow you to feel good about yourself effortlessly. And I love that! All you need to do is throw on a Nicole Miller dress (like the one I’m wearing below!) and your mood, gosh, maybe even your day will automatically get better. Not every brand has the ability to produce that kind of style, and honestly, at the moment I’m rarely buying pieces unless they really make me feel something, make a difference in how I view myself, and how others will view me.

As you can tell I had no fun at all…kidding! I was so tempted to get this lightweight, camo motto jacket. I love the neon zipper detailing! There are maybe a dozen ways I can imagine wearing it!
Check out these earrings from Shop Monarch Market! I picked up a pair of open, acrylic, tortoise hoops. Can’t wait to wear them and push myself out of my pearl earring comfort zone!
