If anyone ever tells you you’re too old to throw yourself (and your 5 pound pup) a whimsical tea party….just know that they couldn’t be more wrong! While I’ve never been one to partake in Valentine’s Day, this year I’m not passing up on any excuses to celebrate. To be honest, Galentine’s Day is a bit more my speed, and that’s why I’ve teamed up with my blogger friend, Megan of @campbymama, to share how we’re celebrating Galentine’s Day/Valentine’s Day at home! Keep scrolling for all the details of my Whimsical Galentine’s Day Tea Party for 2.
I’m so thankful to have been able to work with a few of my favorite brands to make my whimsical tea party dreams come true!! Of course every tea party needs beautiful tea cups and a tea pot! The dinnerware, drinkware, and napkins are from Juliska, a brand that is known for their artisanal products, exceptional quality, and for creating unforgettable moments.
No tea party is complete without delicious treats and a cake that is just as beautiful as it is delicious! Don’t worry, I’m sharing wayyy more about these dairy free AND gluten free desserts from By The Way Bakery below!!
And of course we have to talk about this whimsical floral arrangement! It’s a close call, but I think these flowers from Nielsen’s Florist stole the show and pulled the tea party together!
Maybe it’s because I haven’t had a reason to dress up in gosh knows how long, and honestly, don’t know when I will have that opportunity. Or maybe it’s because I’m not-so-secretly a kid at heart…. either way, you better believe I wasn’t going to pass up on an opportunity to pull out this awesome tulle skirt!
I have to say, I had SO much fun styling this whimsical Galentine’s Day tea party for 2, getting all dressed up, and munching on these delicious treats with Ranger. It wasn’t until I was two cookies and one slice of cake into this photoshoot that I realized how I hadn’t had this much fun in a while. In putting together this whimsical tea party I had created a special moment with Ranger and now I have these memories forever.
The moment I unboxed my Juliska tea cups, tea pot, and other dinnerware/drinkware, I felt like a princess! Their pieces are absolutely beautiful and simply timeless.
All of the pieces you see featured in my tea party are part of the “Berry & Thread” collection (apart from the napkins). I’ve linked all of the products below. Everything looks to be in stock apart from the gorgeous stemless wine glasses, but the red wine glasses are in stock, linked here!
Tea Cup // Tea Pot // Footed Compote // Hostess Tray // Cupfull of Love Mug // Stemless White Wine Glass // Floretta Napkins
With all the time I’ve been spending at home this past year, I’ve really prioritized making my home feel special and these Juliska pieces do just that!
P.S. Since I won’t be playing hostess anytime soon (insert sad face here) I’ve found a temporary home for this gorgeous Hostess Tray on my bedside table. It’s the perfect catch-all tray for my jewelry, phone, etc!!
If you’ve been hanging out with me for a while now, then it’s no secret how much I LOVE By The Way Bakery. BTWB is a local to New York/Westchester County/Fairfield County and I talk alllll about them in this post here! Long story short, the first time I walked into BTWB (located near the top of Greenwich Ave by Threads & Treads and J.McLaughlin) I just really loved the look of the storefront! Of course I had to try a few treats, but it wasn’t until paying that I found out they were dairy free AND gluten free! How amazing?!
So there I was thinking I was going to take a cheat day, when it turned out, I wasn’t cheating at all! If I wasn’t told these treats were dairy free and gluten free, I honestly wouldn’t have figured it out myself. Have I sold you yet?!
Slow clap time for this stunning tea party-themed vanilla cake that is honestly more beautiful than I could have imagined! And yes, Ranger loved it too! (Don’t worry, she only took a lick or two!)
All treats were courtesy of by By The Way Bakery. You can also find them at local Whole Foods in the freezer aisle or bakery section!
Another local brand I’ve worked with several times in the past and adore is Nielsen’s Florist and Garden Shop in Darien, CT. They have an exceptional variety of flowers, their arrangements always blow me away, and their staff are the nicest! I’ve really enjoyed getting to know Bob and Raya over the past few years!
I’ve linked their Valentine’s Day flowers page here in case you want to send a hint to your significant other, if you’re surprising someone special, or you want to treat yourself!!
It’s been almost a week since I picked up this arrangement from Nielsen’s and it still looks just as beautiful as in these photos! (Actually maybe even more so since some of the flowers have since opened!) I’m actually driving down to my Grandma’s house today and you better bet I’m bringing this floral arrangement with me!
Here in CT we’re really in the thick of winter. With a foot of snow on the ground, frigid days, and cloudy skies, some fresh flowers or a beautiful floral arrangement can make all the difference inside your home. Each time I walk by this gorgeous arrangement I notice my mood is instantly boosted and I’ve got a smile on my face!
How could I forget to mention this under $15 DIY balloon garland that was SO fun to put together! At least I enjoyed doing so! You’ll probably want an electric pump to make the process go faster, but I actually blew them up myself and it only took about an hour in total plus assembly.
You can shop my balloon garland kit here! I 10/10 would recommend it! If you’re thinking “I could never do that,” you’re wrong. I firmly believe that you cannot mess these up. Just thread the balloons through the string (comes in the kit) and space out the colors as you’d like. Seriously, it’s that simple!
